At Thor's Hammer, every table is made to order in our Canberra workshop, giving you plenty of scope to create something that fits your project rather than making your room fit an off-the-shelf table.

For meeting and conference rooms, you can start with any of our 14 table designs. For larger boardrooms, our Hoop Leg and Steel Hoop Leg tables are particularly well suited, while our Table Table, Arciform and Oblong table designs can also be adapted depending on the size required. Some designs, including our Round Leg, Raked Leg and 1545 tables, would be harder to scale up to boardroom size.

If you have something different in mind, we can also develop a completely new design with you. Bring us your plans and ideas, and our team can work with you to create a table made to suit your space and requirements.

A table made for your meeting room

Not every meeting needs a 12-person boardroom table. We make meeting tables for offices of all sizes, from compact tables for smaller meeting rooms through to substantial boardroom tables designed to accommodate a large team.

The size and proportions can be worked around your room, the number of people you need to seat and how you use the space. That means you can make the most of the available floor area while still having a table that feels significant and comfortable to work around.

Recycled timber with history and character

A large meeting table is a great showcase for the beautiful grain and rich colours of recycled Australian hardwoods.

We can make your table from a range of recycled timber species, each with its own colour, grain and character. Natural variation, old nail holes, marks and other evidence of the timber's previous life can all become part of the finished table.

Our recycled timbers come with their own history and provenance. The story behind your table’s timber can be a great icebreaker when meeting new clients. If there is enough lead time in the project, it is also possible to request timbers sourced from demolitions relevant to your industry. We have sourced timbers from old RAAF bases for defence department boardroom tables, and made a university boardroom table from timbers salvaged from a campus building.
