We carefully select and partially dress the timbers so some of the original rough sawn markings and dark surface are retained. This leaves an uneven surface which we carefully keep by minimising filling and sanding. This surface has a gently undulating feel as you run your hand across it.
Because we minimise use of the resin filler and associated sanding, the Sawtooth - Undulating finish will have some fine cracks unfilled and is less suitable for a high use surface like a kitchen bench top or vanity.
