Farmhouse Door
A farmhouse door typically refers to an interior or exterior door designed with a rustic, country aesthetic. Because the style is so versatile, these doors are used in both traditional country homes and modern rustic designs.
The more traditional design and detail of the Farmhouse Door complements the lightly dressed, rustic timbers to make a door which looks great with an industrial or a farmhouse aesthetic. The Farmhouse Door design was originally based on a 100 year old door a client wanted us to match.
Customisation
The Farmhouse Door works well as a front entry door or as an internal door. The top panel can be replaced with glass and the design of the panel trims can be varied. We can even include a glass porthole in the Farmhouse Door design. Talk to our Design & Sales team if you’re interested in including glass in your Farmhouse door design.
Sizes & Specifications
The maximum size of the recycled timber Farmhouse door is usually 2400 x 1000mm. Because of the rustic, lightly dressed finish, the door thickness varies from 44-48mm (Most standard doors are 40mm thick).
This door is designed to be made with a sawtooth finish, and can be made in the recycled timber species of your choice. It could also be made with a clean dressed finish and would then be produced at 40mm thick.
