We're pleased to announce Thor’s Hammer is a Supporting Partner of Floriade 2025. We’re proud to be involved in the annual celebration of Canberra and nature, now celebrating its 38th year. Our Urban Sanctuary modular gardening system will be used throughout the Ngunnawal Dreamtime Pathway installation.
At Thor’s Hammer, every piece of recycled timber has a story to tell, and at Floriade, these stories come alive through the cultural and environmental narratives celebrated in the Ngunnawal Dreamtime Pathway. Just as each timber holds the history of the old building it came from and the craft that transformed it, the Ngunnawal pathway weaves together stories of connection to land, heritage, and sustainability.
Urban Sanctuary
The Urban Sanctuary modular gardening system is the perfect solution for an apartment balcony garden or a hard surfaced area in your back garden. Urban Sanctuary is a modular garden feature collection designed around a hexagonal footprint, inspired by nature’s geometry. The gardening range includes multi-size planters, seats, decking tiles, and connectors, all crafted using recycled materials.
The Urban Sanctuary range was born from our commitment to sustainability, transforming timber offcuts into innovative garden features that champion waste reduction and eco-friendly design.
Thor’s Hammer Floriade Market Stall
Thor’s Hammer will have a market stall on-site at Floriade with our tables, sideboards, shelving and homewares on display and available for purchase. Members of the Thor’s Hammer design team will be available at our market stall to discuss anything and everything recycled timber. We’re centrally located at the Parkes way market stalls inside the park at Floriade.
Our market stall location is highlighted on the map below, so stop in for a chat, peruse some of the items we have on display, or for a more in depth consultation about your design project, you can visit our showroom in Griffith, only 10 minutes down the round from Floriade.

Market Stall Furniture available for immediate purchase
Our furniture pieces are normally made to order and production takes 8-14 weeks, but if you like one of the pieces we have at our Floriade market stall, you can avoid the wait time and take it home with you.
Furniture floor stock at our Floriade market stall will be available for immediate purchase and collection. For Floriade’s launch, we’ll have available an Oblong Table, Hoop Leg Table and an outdoor T-Table, as well as a Tambour Cabinet.
We’ll be rotating our furniture products at Floriade as they sell, so stop by to see what products we have available.
If you’re looking for something smaller as a memento of Floriade 2025, we’ll have a selection of our Thinking Small collection available for purchase too! We have a range of sizes for our timber breadboards, serving platters, cheeseboards and knife sets, dry vases and our Urban Sanctuary modular gardening system.

Ever wanted to own a piece of Floriade? Well now you can, as all our Urban Sanctuary collection used as part of the Ngunnawal dreamtime trail installation are available for sale, at a discounted price - 10% off the entire Urban Sanctuary collection during Floriade (Valid until Floriade ends - 12th October 2025 - or existing stock is sold out). The planters will be available for collection from the Floriade site at the end of Floriade.*
Our design team can work with you to design an Urban Sanctuary plan for your apartment balcony or backyard patio to suit the space you have available for the garden installation. We’ve recently added an apartment package and a backyard package of our Urban Sanctuary range, designed to fit standard spaces. Weekly Giveaways - WIN a large breadboard
Users who visit our Floriade market stall and sign up to the Thor’s Hammer eNewsletter and/or social media (Facebook & Instagram) will go into the draw each week to win a Thor’s Hammer large upcycled timber breadboard (Valued at $100).
Four draws will take place during Floriade and winners will be announced on the Thor’s Hammer social media channels. Each winner can collect the breadboard from Thor’s Hammer, our Floriade market stall or the prize can be mailed out to the lucky winner. Terms and conditions apply, see below for details.

Employees of Thor's Hammer or their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the competition or helping to set up the competition shall not be permitted to enter the competition.
Entrants must be over 18 years of age to enter the competition.
Entrants will need to visit the Thor’s Hammer Floriade market stall and sign up for the Thor’s Hammer eNewsletter and or sign up to the Thor’s Hammer Facebook or Instagram account. Signups can only occur at the Floriade market stall for competition entries to be submitted. One entry per person.
The promotion starts 9:30am 13th September 2025 and closes 5:30pm 9th October 2025 AEST. No entries will be accepted after this time.
Draws will be random and take place every Friday morning during Floriade (Four draws - September 19 and 26, October 03 and 10, 2025) at the Thor’s Hammer office.
Winners will be notified via email and announced on the Thor’s Hammer social media channels after each draw.
The prize is a large upcycled timber breadboard, valued at $100.
No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
