We have a range of upcycled timber breadboards, all made from high-quality recycled Australian hardwood and finished with grapeseed oil. We have a standard range of offcuts breadboards and cheeseboards that we top up regularly, as well as special collaborations with local designers and makers, and bespoke orders for local hospitality businesses.

B&T Breadboards & Serving Planks
OFFCUTS Breadboards & CHEESEBOARDS
Our signature range of upcycled timber breadboards are made from high-quality recycled Australian hardwood offcuts, saved from the projects and pieces we make here at Thor’s Hammer. We make new offcuts breadboards and cheeseboards regularly.
Our larger breadboards are usually made from furniture and kitchen benchtop offcuts, while our smaller cheeseboards are made from ridge boards, a structural roof timber.
Regardless of which size and timber species you choose, each of these boards are completely unique, finished with food safe grapeseed oil, and are available in a range of species, such as Ironbark, Spotted Gum, Mixed Ash and Blackbutt.
B&T Breadboards & Serving planks
Our B&T Boards are a design collaboration between Brian Tunks from Bisonhome & our founder and owner, Thor Diesendorf. Ideal for serving your favourite cheese or slicing fresh bread, they’re available in either the shorter breadboard option, or in its longer iteration, the Plank, in recycled Mixed Ash and Blackbutt. Finished with food safe grapeseed oil.
POP x Thor’s Hammer Timber Arch Serving BoardS
A collaboration between Louis and Gabe from POP Canberra, the Timber Arch serving board is made from recycled Australian hardwoods from our workshop, and is part of POP Canberra’s UP Range; upcycled wares design by POP Canberra and made by local craftspeople. Available in Ironbark / Dense Reds and Spotted Gum, these boards are great for a serving platter with a bit of extra style, and are finished with natural grapeseed oil.
OTHER OFFCUTS & UNIQUE TIMBERS
We have a range of natural edge slabs, dressed timbers and benchtop offcuts available to purchase off the racks at our workshop and showroom in Canberra. Our customers use these to make a huge variety of objects, including furniture, artworks, chopping boards, guitar bodies, carved spoons, and so much more. ONE-OFF TIMBERS FROM THE RACKS
We have recycled and ready to use dressed timbers, with a large variety of species and sizes available for your next DIY project. Our dressed timber racks hold timbers processed and ready for our furniture making team which you are welcome to choose from.
KILN DRIED TIMBER SLABS
We source our slabs from street trees, road work clearing and backyard trees. All our slabs are moisture checked and are ready to use.
Slabs can be purchased as is or turned into a custom piece of furniture by our design and joinery teams.
