Oregon

Unlike our Australian hardwoods, Oregon (Douglas Fir) is a softwood that was widely imported for roof trusses, warehouse construction and large-span industrial buildings throughout the twentieth century. It is valued for its long lengths, straight grain and excellent stability after decades in service. Recycled Oregon offers a lighter appearance with subtle character, making it a popular choice for exposed beams, wall linings, furniture and contemporary joinery.
