Kauri Pine is a light, clean timber which was mainly used as floorboards in old houses prior to the 1930’s.

RECYCLED FROM Kauri Pine was mainly used as floor boards in old houses prior to the 1930’s. It is also sometimes found in old kitchen cabinets and furniture. Wide boards could be cut from the huge trees.

TIMBER KNOWLEDGE Clean, buttery yellow softwood. Huge trees originally harvested from QLD & New Zealand, now scarce.

Queensland Kauri: Agathis microstachya, Agathis robusta New Zealand Kauri: Agathis australis

USES In high demand for matching old floors for extensions & renovations. We also use Kauri Pine to make furniture.
