Introducing Our New Collection—Thinking Small!

November 2023

We’re excited to announce the launch of our new collection, Thinking Small—a range of everyday items made from short lengths of 100% recycled timber, showcasing small-scale design and extending the life of high quality demolition timber destined for landfill. Thinking Small is an exciting evolution in our journey, and we’re excited to share it with you!

To celebrate, we’re hosting a bunch of events and we’d love to see you there. Learn more and book your tickets below.

Thinking Small Story

We’ve been using furniture design to divert waste timber from landfill for nearly 30 years. We make iconic, heirloom pieces of furniture and joinery, and our work is in homes across the country.

Over the years, it became clear that we also have an opportunity to ‘think small’ with our product design. In our annual survey last year, we heard the call from our community; to add smaller, more accessible pieces to our range… so we did!

Our demolition partners, too, were keen for us to do more with shorter lengths. These lengths, between 1-1.5 metres long, are typically the 'odd ones out'. We've previously only been able to use them in our building products range for stair treads and floor boards.

It wasn’t until last year, when the final piece of the puzzle allowed us to earnestly tackle smaller pieces; the arrival of our high-tech 5 axis CNC machine from Italy.

The CNC allows us to make complex parts more efficiently. It saves us time on delicate details, and is super accurate.

Our Thinking Small Collection will feature a range of fun new products that we haven’t tried before; smaller furniture, home and office accessories, and even some ‘leisure’ items!
