CAMPBELL 5 ROUGH SAWN CLADDING

Thor’s Hammer sent a big truck load of recycled timber over to Campbell 5 for the cladding on their Display Office & Gallery, which has come up really well.

This cladding was supplied with minimal processing and without metal detecting to retain the rustic aesthetic and texture of the recycled timber. Minimally processed timber can look great and is a lower cost option than fully processed timber.

The timber was supplied in a mix of sizes and species, salvaged from house roof timbers and square edge flooring from the Q Stores demolition in Alexandria.

Chase Building did a great job of laying out the boards so the different thicknesses and colours complement each other.

The gallery upstairs is curated by Canberra sculptor Geoff Farquhar-Still, and has an awesome exhibition of sculptural and lighting works by local artists. Definitely worth checking out.
