A lot of mixed reds come through our mill, and it is often overlooked as a timber in favour of more neutral coloured timbers such as Blackbutt and Tallowwood. Our mixed reds are predominantly made of Jarrah, North Coast Mahogany and Ironbark with the inclusion of some Rose Gum, Red Gum and Brushbox.

Thor went to Lue near Mudgee to get these posts from a paddock where they had been sitting for several years. They were from the demolition of a railway trestle bridge that serviced the steelworks at Bullaroo, just south of Newcastle city.
