We have just received a big truck load of wide floor joists from an old building in Harris St, Ultimo. It isn’t often that these 100 plus year old buildings are demolished these days, so we couldn’t pass up the chance to salvage the wide 250x60mm joists. 

We have just received a really great load of salvaged flooring from the demolition of an old factory complex in Greenacre, Sydney. 

We don’t get salvaged floors like these very often anymore so it is pretty exciting to get these timbers into the yard! Read More

The Wesley College of Arts building is coming down, it is a terrible shame, it is incredibly well built, triple brick with very high quality Austrtalian Hardwood timbers, we will make sure none of it goes to waste.

We just salvaged a large quantity of timber from Batemans Bay Marina pier replacements.

On the outside these old piers look haggard and worn, when we saw the beams the beautiful dark reddy brown Turpuntine timber will be revealed for the first time in 60 years! Read More

We have just salvaged the Blackbutt flooring from accommodation buildings at RAAF Base Richmond.  The boards are around 50 years old, in really good condition and have a great patina.

We were called by a demolition company to take a look at unusual old house in St Mary’s, Sydney.  The house was built like an old slab hut with the walls made out of vertical wide boards with strips of tin tacked over the gaps.  There was plenty of good timber for us to salvage! Read More

The first semi load of poles arrived yesterday from the demolition of the Nowra Sawmill.

The rooves of the old sawmill sheds were built out of round logs 200-300mm in diameter and up to 12m long!

The poles have gone really dark with age, but once we brush them back you will see the beautiful coastal hardwoods that lie underneath their rough exterior. Read More
