We were called by a demolition company to take a look at unusual old house in St Mary’s, Sydney. The house was built like an old slab hut with the walls made out of vertical wide boards and strips of tin tacked over the gaps. There was plenty of dense hardwood timber for us to salvage!
The boards we salvaged from the house are mostly Spotted Gum, originally logged from the East Coast forests we estimate around 80 - 100 years ago.
This timber will make great table tops and stair treads. In the photos you can see them in position at the house and then on our forklift after salvage and we have included a photo of a table we recently finished using Recycled Spotted Gum.
