These floor boards were once walked on in the house that originally stood on this Canberra block. The old house was demolished and rebuilt by Classic Constructions - the client's were keen to salvage what they could from the old house and reuse the materials in the new house.
We worked with M&S Kitchens on all the joinery, using the salvaged Ash floor boards for doors and drawer fronts and some panels here and there. Nail holes left unfilled, just lightly sanded and oiled in Osmo, the old floor boards really have some great character and bring the joinery to life.
It's so great being a part of the recycling process when it's this close to the client - who actually pulled the floorboards out himself. A rewarding result for all.
This was another great collab project with the teams at Classic Constructions and M&S Kitchens. It's always a pleasure working with them. Bring on the next one!
