Long standing clients asked us to design and build a round table, to be based on the Corry Table Thor made a few years ago for a Design Canberra exhibition. An exciting commission!
The top has a corrugated profile to the underside which keeps the piece light and strong. It makes a really interesting silhouette when cut through on the curve for the round top. We decided to use sections of the same corrugated profile to make the base. The double frames keep the base nice and light which works well with the table top.
We were super happy with how the table came out and so were the clients.
This table has a lot of detail, especially the intersection of the base frames! Tim Foster, our senior cabinetmaker was all over it. The photos below show some nice moments in the build.
