We’re humbled, amazed and chuffed.
The response to the news that we’re looking for a new home after 23 years at the Yarralumla Brickworks has been incredible, thanks to you all for your positive support.
Our first Facebook post was liked by 150 people, shared 75 times and generated 25 comments, many with suggestions on potential locations. Awesome…
The media has shown great interest too, with an article already published in the Canberra Times and CityNews and a radio interview already aired on 2CC.
Tomorrow (Wednesday 17 May) I’ll be interviewed by Genevieve Jacobs, on 666 ABC if you want to tune in at 9.50am.
We’re waiting for a response from the ACT Government. In the meantime, we are checking out possible locations and meeting with lots of people. The clock is ticking but we’re not giving up hope.
Everyone at Thor’s Hammer wants a new home and wants to continue to operate our unique business. The recycling we do performs a valuable role for the ACT and saves tonnes of wood from ending up in landfill. And we’re passionate about using that timber to create the beautiful custom furniture and architectural products we’re so well known for—many of you have our highly crafted work in your offices and homes.
Thanks again for your support and if you have any great ideas for a possible new site please continue to send them to me on firstname.lastname@example.org
We’ll keep our promise to update you as things progress. And please stay in touch through Facebook and Instagram.
