We built this awesome table to a customer’s concept in recycled Spotted Gum, with recycled Blackbutt for the bevelled art deco influenced trims.
The timber in this table originally came out of our East Coast Forests and was used to build house roofs in Sydney in the 1930's.
80 years later when the houses were being demolished, the timber was salvaged by Thor's Hammer and turned into this 1930's Art Deco inspired table. Way better than it going to landfill!
You can read more about the process from demolition to table here:http://www.thors.com.au/demolition-to-table
The table can seat 10 when extended or 6 normally. It is pictured with the extensions in place. There is a drawer at each end to store cutlery, also used to support the extensions.
If you need a piece of recycled timber furniture that will last you a lifetime you know where to find us! http://www.thors.com.au/contact/
