Timber floor boards have many advantages as a floor covering:  They do not hold dirt and dust; they are springy underfoot and pleasant to walk on; and a timber floor has the variation and beauty of a natural material. With the characteristic marking and deeper colours that have developed with age, a recycled floor will bring a sense of history into your home. Old nail holes are a welcome reminder that you have helped recycle a valuable resource.  Thor's Hammer offers two kinds of recycled flooring:  Salvaged and Re-milled. Salvaged floor boards were once floorboards in factories and houses. Re-milled floor boards are made from structural timbers.

Quality

All our floor boards are sold ready to lay.  They are processed carefully to minimise any time consuming preparation on site. 

Recycled flooring from Thor’s Hammer is stored carefully in dry conditions, and the moisture content is checked to be within the Australian Standard.  The moisture content of your flooring is recorded and can be used to decide whether further acclimatisation is required.

Order

A 25% deposit holds your order.  When we have the timber tallied and ready for delivery we require payment of the balance.  After payment we can store the flooring for up to six months until it is required.
